What file formats can be used?


  • Vrex supports open file formats
  • openBIM is the standard for construction projects. This includes IFC files with a full support for BCF
  • The STEP file format is also supported. This is used for technical constructions and other CAD work
  • OBJ and DAE files are supported to help you in cases where IFC and STEP is not a viable option

FBX is a useful file format inside the Autodesk environment. This is a closed format under Autodesk control, and so is not very useful for other purposes


We will handle most Autodesk formats directly so you can use them directly without any exporting
